Dean, How‧ard /ˈhaʊəd $ -ərd/
(1948–) a
governor of the US state of Vermont, who tried to become the Democratic Party
candidate for president in 2004. He strongly criticized the war in Iraq and had many supporters, but he was not chosen to be the candidate. He was one of the first politicians to use the Internet to gain supporters.
