Gram‧pi‧an /ˈɡræmpiən/

1. a former administrative region (=area controlled by local government) in northeast Scotland. It is now divided into the City of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Moray. One of its well-known products is whisky.

2. (also Grampian Television) an independent television company which broadcasts programmes in northeast Scotland
