ˌHampton ˈCourt (
also ˌHampton Court ˈPalace)
a large building southwest of London, which belonged to King Henry VIII and was used as a royal
palace until the 18th century. It is open to the public, and there is a famous
maze (=a system of narrow paths, separated by tall
hedges, which it is difficult to find your way through).
