Kant, Im‧man‧u‧el /kænt $ kɑːnt, ɪˈmænjuəl/
(1724–1804) a German philosopher who believed that moral decisions must be based on reason, and who wrote books about the existence of God and about how we understand the world. His most important book is the Critique of Pure Reason. His works had great influence on 19th century philosophy.
