I. Mc‧Cart‧ney, Lin‧da /məˈkɑːtni ˈlɪndə/
(1941–98) the wife of the former member of the Beatles Sir Paul McCartney. She worked for
animal rights, and began a successful business making
vegetarian ready meals. She was working as a photographer when she met Paul McCartney, and they married in 1969. She died of
cancer.

II. Mc‧Cart‧ney, Paul /məˈkɑːtni $ -ɑːr-/
(1942–) a British singer and
songwriter who was a member of The Beatles, and who wrote most of their songs with John Lennon. He led a new band called Wings in the 1970s, and has continued writing and performing music. His first wife, Linda McCartney (1941–98), was a photographer and was famous for being a
vegetarian. In 2002 he married Heather Mills, but they
divorced in 2008. His official title is Sir Paul McCartney.
