Stra‧vin‧sky, I‧gor /strəˈvɪnski, ˈiːɡɔːʳ/
(1882–1971) a Russian musician, known especially for his ballet music, including The Firebird and The Rite of Spring, which he wrote for the ballet producer Diaghilev. His work was known for being modern and very different from anything done before.
