a beautiful building made of white
marble (=a type of smooth, hard rock) in Agra, northern India, built as a
mausoleum (=a building containing a grave) for his wife by the
emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century. It is one of the world's most famous buildings, and is visited by many tourists.
