Bal‧lard, J.G. /ˈbælɑːd $ -ɑːrd/
(1930–) a British writer who is known especially for his science fiction stories, and for his novel about China during World War II, Empire of the Sun, which was made into a film. His novels also include Crash, Cocaine Nights, and Super-Cannes.
