Can‧to‧na, Er‧ic /ˈkæntənɑː, ˈerɪk/
(1966–) a French football player who played for the French national team and for Manchester United. During the early 1990s, he became Machester United's most successful and popular player. In 1994, a man in the crowd watching a game shouted insults at Cantona, who then jumped into the crowd and kicked the man. He stopped playing football in 1997 and has since acted in French films.
