Ca‧pone, Al /kəˈpəʊn, æl/
(1899–1947) one of the most famous US
gangsters (=criminals who belong to a violent group). From 1925 to 1931 he was the leader of
organized crime in Chicago. He was sometimes called Scarface because he had a
scar on his cheek.
