Civil Contingencies Committee, the
in the UK, a group of Cabinet ministers, led by the Home Secretary, that deals with emergencies (emergency) such as acts of terrorism or natural disasters. The committee means in Conference Room A of the Cabinet Office Briefing Rooms, and is also called COBRA.
