trademark a large company that produces many different
makes (=types) of car, including Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, and Jeep. The company was formed in 1998 when Daimler-Benz joined with the US car maker Chrysler. It is now called Daimler AG after selling off Chrysler in 2007.
