I. Da‧ley, Arthur /ˈdeɪli/
a character in the 1980s British television programme Minder, who sells used cars and sometimes also buys and sells other goods which are stolen. He is thought of as a typical example of a salesman who is dishonest but easy to like, and not really a serious criminal.

II. Daley, Richard
(1942–) a US politician who has been mayor of Chicago since 1989. He is a member of the Democratic Party, and is known for his policies to improve schools and community policing (=police officers working with residents to prevent crime).
