Edward II, King /ˌedwəd ðə ˈsekənd $ -wərd-/
(1284–1327) the king of England from 1307 until he was murdered by his enemies (including his wife) in 1327. He is believed to have been a homosexual, and his life is the subject of a play by Christopher Marlowe and a film by Derek Jarman.
