Erewhon
a book by the British writer Samuel Butler,published in 1872. Erewhon was an imaginary land discovered by a traveller, and Butler used it for a satire on British hypocrisy and the way society thought about crime and religion. Many years later he wrote a second book, called Erewhon Revisited.
