Fo, Dar‧i‧o /fəʊ, ˈdæriəʊ/
(1926–) an Italian writer, best known for his plays, such as
Accidental Death of an Anarchist (1970) and
Can't Pay, Won't Pay (1974), which are humorous, but deal with serious social and political events. He won the Nobel prize for Literature in 1997.
