Fran‧co, General Fran‧cis‧co /ˈfræŋkəʊ, frænˈsɪskəʊ/
(1892–1975) a Spanish military leader and
right-wing politician. He led the Nationalist side in the Spanish War (1936–39), and ruled Spain as a
dictator until his death.
