Comb.:
futtock plate each of the metal plates by which the upper ends of the futtock shrouds are secured to the lower mast-top;
futtock shroud each of the small ropes or metal rods supporting the top on a lower mast and running from the futtock plates downwards and inwards towards the lower mast.
