Ha‧ni, Chris /ˈhɑːni, krɪs/
(1942–93) a black South African politician who was a leading member of the ANC and the South African Communist Party. Many people thought that he would become leader of the ANC after Nelson Mandela, but he was murdered by a white extremist.
