Lap‧land /ˈlæplænd/
an area of northern Europe consisting of parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. It is very cold and is thought of by British children as the home of
Santa Claus and his
reindeer (=a type of large deer with long horns). The people who live there are called
