Lar‧wood, Har‧old /ˈlɑːwʊd $ ˈlɑːr, ˈhærəld/
(1904–1995) an English
cricket player famous for the great speed of his
bowling. When England went to Australia in 1932–33 Larwood was ordered to bowl fast balls which were difficult and sometimes dangerous for the
batsman to play, which caused a public
scandal.
