Mac‧Laine, Shir‧ley /məˈkleɪn, ˈʃɜːli $ ˈʃɜːr-/
(1934–) a US actress. Her films include Steel Magnolias (1989) and Postcards from the Edge (1990). She won an Oscar for Terms of Endearment (1983). She has also written books about reincarnation, describing the different lives that she believes she has lived in the past.
