Me‧kong, the /ˌmiːˈkɒŋ◂ $ ˌmeɪˈkɔːŋ◂/
a river in southeast Asia, which flows from Tibet through Cambodia and Laos to Vietnam. The Mekong Delta is one of the most important areas in Asia for growing rice, and there was also a lot of fighting in this area during the Vietnam War.
