an important road in London, which goes around the northern half of the city and connects with the South Circular. Together, the North Circular and the South Circular form a circle-shaped road around London. This road is much closer to the city than the M25 motorway, which goes around the outside of London. The North Circular is known for having very bad traffic jams.
