Nu‧re‧yev, Ru‧dolf /ˈnjʊərief, njʊˈreɪef $ nʊˈreɪef, ˈruːdɒlf $ -dɑːlf/
(1938–93) a Russian ballet dancer who escaped from the former Soviet Union in 1961 to live in the West. He often danced with Dame Margot Fonteyn and he is regarded as one of the greatest male dancers ever.
