One ˈNation ˌParty, the noun a
right-wing nationalist political party in Australia, started in 1997. It opposes government policies (
policy) that give advantages to
aborigines and to people coming to live in Australia from other countries. In 1998 the party won nearly a quarter of the vote in the State elections in Queensland. Since then, the party has lost a lot of support.
