phlegmasia dolens [Latin alba (fem.) white, dolens painful]), inflammation of veins of the leg with swelling and whiteness, caused by thrombophlebitis;
(b) (in full
phlegmasia cerulea dolens [sɛ,ru:lɪǝ 'dǝʊlɛnz] [Latin caerulea (fem.) blue]), inflammation of veins of the leg with swelling and cyanosis.
