Reeve, Christopher
(1952–2004) a US film actor famous for playing the character of Superman. He was very seriously injured in a horse-riding accident in 1995, and became almost completely paralysed (=unable to move). After his accident he started an organization that gives money to help find a cure for people with similar injuries.
