RSPCA, the /ˌɑːr es piː siː ˈeɪ/
abbreviation for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; a British
charity organization which aims to protect animals from cruel treatment, and can bring a legal case to court if someone is cruel to an animal. The RSPCA looks after animals with no homes, and sells them to people who want them. There is a similar organization in the US called the SPCA.
