Rudd, Kev·in /rʌd, ˈkevən/
(1957-) an Australian politician who was elected Prime Minister of Australia in December 2007. He became an MP in 1998 and leader of the Australian Labor Party in 2006. One of his earliest acts as Prime Minister was to apologize to INDIGENOUS AUSTRALIANs for the Stolen Generation (=when the government took children away from the families of indigenous people in the past).
