A. adjective. Of, pertaining to, or characteristic of the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare (1564-1616) or his works. Also = STRATFORDIAN adjective. M18.
b. noun. An expert in or student of the works of Shakespeare; a Shakespearian scholar; an imitator of Shakespeare. Also, a person who believes that Shakespeare did write the plays generally attributed to him, = STRATFORDIAN noun 2. M19.
