Sha‧rif, O‧mar /ʃəˈriːf, ˈəʊmɑːʳ/
(1932–) an Egyptian film actor, known for being very good-looking and sexually attractive. His films include
Lawrence of Arabia (1962) and
Doctor Zhivago (1965). He is also a very good player of
bridge (=a type of card game), and he writes about bridge in newspapers.
