Sy‧al, Mee‧ra /ˈsaɪəl, ˈmɪərə/
(1963–) a British actress and writer whose family originally came from India. Her novels include Anita and Me. She also appeared in the popular UK television comedy programmes Goodness Gracious Me and The Kumars at No 42. Her comedy typically makes fun of Asian people who are living in the UK, but in a kind rather than unkind way.
