Widow Twan‧key /ˌwɪdəʊ ˈtwæŋki/
an amusing female character in the pantomime (=a humorous play for children) Aladdin. She is Aladdin's mother and she does people's laundry (=washes their clothes) in order to make money. The character is played by a male actor dressed in women's clothes.
