Zee‧brug‧ge /zeɪˈbrʊɡə, ziː-/
a sea port in northern Belgium, where ferries (
ferry) arrive from Britain. It is known especially for the Zeebrugge disaster of 1987, when a ferry sank soon after leaving the port, and almost 200 people were killed.
