Mar‧ley, Bob /ˈmɑːli $ ˈmɑːr-/
(1945–81) a Jamaican singer and songwriter who helped to make
reggae music popular. His group was called Bob Marley and the Wailers. He was a
Rastafarian, and wore his hair in
dreadlocks. His songs, which include
No Woman, No Cry and
Redemption Song, often have a political message.
