CELEBRITY CHEF who has presented television programmes about cooking such as
The Naked Chef,
Jamie's School Dinners, and
Jamie at Home. The
recipe books which go together with these television programmes have been very successful. Oliver is very keen that people should use fresh
organic ingredients, and in 2005 he began a
campaign to improve the quality of food given to students in school meals. He has also opened a number of
charity restaurants around the world called ‘Fifteen’ which teach young
disadvantaged people to do jobs in the food industry. He is known for his
cockney accent and for using
catchphrases such as “pukka” (= very good).
