Tris‧tan da Cun‧ha /ˌtrɪstən də ˈkuːnə, -njə/
a group of islands in the South Atlantic Ocean, between South Africa and South America. The people living there had to be taken away when a volcano erupted (erupt) in 1961, but they were able to return two years later.
